medica Liberia, formerly Medica Mondiale Liberia, is a non-governmental women’s rights organization working in Liberia. The organization works with survivors of Gender-Based violence and provides a holistic stress and trauma-sensitive approach that incorporates health, legal, and psychosocial approaches based on feminist principles.

What We Do
Counseling
We provide in-person and online psychosocial, legal, and sexual reproductive health counseling and support services. To access these services, call the hotline number +231 778 032 838/+231 881 880-016. Legal Support: medica Liberia's community advocates give information to women and girls about their fundamental human rights, accompany them to court if they so choose, and provide clients with a lawyer to represent their case in court. mL has established girls and boys clubs in communities and schools to provide Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) mentorship for the clubs and empower young people to make informed decisions and understand their role in ending SGBV.
Capacity Development
We enhance the skills and knowledge of women, communities, and local organizations through targeted training programs. Our capacity-building efforts aim to strengthen community resilience and promote sustainable development.
Advocacy
We advocate for systemic change to protect and promote women’s rights in Liberia. Through policy engagement and public awareness campaigns, we work to create a safer and more equitable society for women and girls.
Advancement of Women's Right
Rooted in feminist principles, our work is dedicated to advancing the rights of women and girls. We strive to ensure that their voices are heard and their rights are upheld in every aspect of society. medica Liberia creates awareness of women's economic rights and justice issues, improves their access to information, and strengthens their capacity to influence policies that create more secure livelihood opportunities, including protection from violence. mL improves women's economic empowerment by training them in basic financial management and giving them small loans through it's Village Saving Loan Association (VSLA) program.
